I LOVE my dryer. I also have a Speed Queen washer, and I also LOVE it. There is no comparison between Speed Queen's products and other washers and dryers. Speed Queens quality is second to none. I actually tried to buy a less expensive dryer made by a competitor, and it was a piece of junk, I returned it immediately and spent the extra $ on the Speed Queen and I am so glad I did. Definitely worth the extra money because it will be reliable and last. I just wish they made kitchen appliances as well, but their focus just on laundry is probably why their product is so superior. Thank you Speed Queen!

My wife and I were looking for a top quality washer/dryer combo made in America with the least amount of electronics to break, that would last 20+ years. Speedqueen seemed to be that brand. I paid for both 3 series units and installed them. This dryer DOES NOT HAVE A BUZZER! You won't know when your clothes are dried, and they will wrinkle, then you'll have to put the ole wet towel in and dry them again. How can you expect a customer to spend $1200 on a dryer that doesn't tell you when your clothes are dry? You claim the stainless steel drum, the solid manufacture, but you can't put a buzzer in for your customers??? I would have to spend more money on the next model just for a stupid buzzer...NOPE. I kept the washing machine and bought your competitor's dryer. I am completely disappointed!

We have lost confidence in the reliability of using this brand new dryer. For the second time since we purchased it a month ago, the dryer has failed to travel through the cycle and turn off. It remained at the hottest part of the cycle-for the THREE HOURS that we were out to dinner.

I bought this dryer in April 2020 on the recommendation from an appliance repair company. He had said "they re created grandmas washer and dryer "
I new it was a bit more expensive than other brands but took his advice
I love the simplicity of the control panel in that it has the basic dials and start unlike a lot with some type of digital or lcd display.
Unfortunately last month the heating element went out and when I called hopefully to file a warranty claim I was informed that the warranty only covered 3 years on the element and I was 90 days outside of the warranty.
I had hoped being so close they would honor it which they did not. I was offered a coupon off my next parts purchase but that didn't help for this repair.
I'm in the service industry and numerous times have had manufacturers honor their warranty with in the time frame which is always good practice as far as I'm concerned.
Maybe I expected too much from the dryer and manufacturer customer service but I guess I'm stuck with the $400 repair.

Bought this brand new and it barely works. I have never had this many problems with a brand-new appliance in my life. I've had 3 different service men out to try to fix it and still so many problems. The timer wasn't plugged in right, the drum was off and wouldn't rotate and wouldn't heat, and the next the service men must have forgotten to remove the tape used to repair it that was in the back causing it to overheat then shut off. With all the service men out to "fix" it; it still does not work. I would look at a different dryer.

Washing machine at times does not spin clothes somewhat dry. At times it is very wet. The dryer drys good some days and some days I have to run it 2or 3times to be dry

My husband and I purchased this machine from Smith's in Georgia. We were unaware that this machine did not have a dryer sensor. We were also unaware that Smiths has a no return policy. This was not verbally explained to us. We made the purchase hastily, as we were told it could be delivered next day I'd we hurried down to purchase that evening. After delivery, I contacted Smith's, and they told me they couldn't help me. No returns. I've contacted Speed Queen, and I was told they couldn't help me either. I would like to purchase the more expensive machine, that has a dryer sensor, but apparently I'm out of luck. So my recommendation would be do your due diligence and be sure the machine has the features that you need. It's difficult to know how long to dry my clothes. Often times they're still wet when I go to fold them. Other times they've been overly dried. I would just really love the opportunity to return this machine and purchase a different one that has the features I need. The other thing of importance that I would note, is that an upgraded dryer vent is recommended by the Sppeed Queen customer service center. No one told us about this either. I spent $250 having my dryer vent upgraded and cleaned when I had concerns about the long dry time. So I would also recommend research the type of dryer vent needed to support this machine.

I love my speed queen dryer. No more doing 3-4 cycles to get clothes dry. It is efficient at drying small or large loads in one cycle. I can choose time, heat level and it performs super quiet. Just absolutely love it!!

Purchased beginning of 2023 along with the washer to match.
My only complaints are:
1. Does not seem to get hot enough? Always put on HOT
2.The door seems very hard to open. Have to really pull it hard to open. Other family member cannot open without assistance.
3. Cannot remove the lint catcher?
Called speed queen and said you NEVER have to remove.....
I clean it after every dry cycle
Still would like to make sure ALL lingering lint is cleaned out

Only one flaw: the dryer does not have a "ding" to alert the user when the cycle is almost completed. I like to remove the dry clothes immediately after the cycle finishes so they don't sit in the dryer and wrinkle.

After several recommendations by friends who have owned Speed Queen laundry appliances for many years, I decided to purchase a washer dryer set for my new home.
I'm 7 decades old, have raised many children and done a great deal of laundry in my life. This washer reminds me of my 1970s workhorse Kenmore that lasted forever.. Huge capacity & stainless tub. Clothes really get clean with very little detergent or washing soda. The machine is very quiet (complete opposite of the front loaders I've had) and cycles are much shorter than the front loader I previously owned.

We wanted to love this dryer however after only 30 days use the heating fuse blew. Then after two weeks without a dryer we finally got it fixed only to have the fuse blow again within 7 days. Then a new heating element and fuse were installed and it's been working for 3 weeks. Very frustrating to have this happen with something that is supposed to be top of the line.

Overall, this dryer and washer that we have is a great product and performs well. The only drawback that I see is the dry filter cover area is hard to clean out because the size and location. This is hard to clean with big hands and could cause damage to screen.

This was the most expensive brand I looked at and I was told by the dealer that it is very reliable. For $1,250 I hope it is. I did not get the top of the line model, but this one has no heavy duty setting, and the auto dry feature shuts off before all the clothes are dry. I generally set every load to 70 minutes and most things are dry by then. But this dryer doesn't have the features that my LG had for half the price. I am told it is better quality and will last a long time -- I hope so.
