Disappointed that the stove top is not easier to clean. Not even a month old and there are some burnt on stains that do not clean up easily. But it cooks well and it is attractive.

I love my new Whirlpool cooktop. It is an attractive and easy to use appliance. I went with the textured look surface because I have had one in another house. It doesn't show streaks as much a the flat black surface.

I purchased my cooktop about a month ago and I am very happy with it so far. I like how evenly the burners heat. It cleans up easily with dish soap and water. I have not had to use any cleaner on it. The dual element is very helpful for larger pots and pans.

The only thing this didn't have that I wanted was the warmer burner. But for the price I paid for this, I couldn't have asked for more. I didn't want an expensive complicated stove top. Simple and easy. This fit the bill!

Whirlpool tech support thinks 15 minutes to boil 4 cups of room temp water was acceptable performence on dual front element.
My elderly parents purchased from audio video store to support local econemy in Sturgeon Falls at recommendation of store owner... Installed day 2 after which we called regarding terrible performance ... Instead of replacing store sent technician who ran no proper tests... after complaining he returned to see water only boiling after 15 minutes instead of normal 6 minutes . Whirlpool customer service manager said since he reported no problem and new standards for energy effiency this was within specs.
If it takes 3 times longer to cook anything how does that save energy?
So if your looking for a pretty useless cooktop and terrible customer service buy this unit.

We replaced my GE cook top because Two burners died after years of use. We chose a Whirlpool because of the duel use front burner. Being just the two of us we very seldom use a larger pan to fit that burner and I hated always reaching over it to use the back burners.

I replaced my Kenmore radiant element glass cook top which was 20 yrs old. I thought this Whirlpool Glass cooktop was going to be a great kitchen replacement. It is not. No matter what I clean it with it leaves streaks and spots. Even with the recommended Affresh cleaner. I tried Windex, Vinegar, it streaks visibly bad. It has tiny scratches, although I have been very careful with my pots and pans, but I have only had it for less than 1 month. After paying for installation into my Quartz counter, I would not go through that expense again, therefore, I will bear it, but I expected better quality. Only good thing, it does heat up well, but not worthwhile recommending this product at all.

I purchased it and had it installed in July 2019. I had the whirlpool coil cooktop for years. The time to clean this Ceramic Glass cooktop is about half the time to clean the coil cooktop. It was a small process to learn. I used the Whirlpool cleaner and then the Whirlpool protector ( 1x weekly). The key I learned to this type of cooktop, is to make sure it is clean prior to cooking and making sure the bottoms of the cooking pots and pans are clean from prior use. I inspect them each time before use, but it only takes a moment. I know this seems like a long process, but once you start doing this regularly, it keeps the cooktop and pans looking like new. Still half the time of the previous cooktop. I did purchase new pots and pans, as I did not trust my older cooking items with scratches on the bottom. I was also used to cooking on "High" on the previous cooktop, and learned quickly to adjust to the actual settings, as the grid heats up quickly. I would have preferred the dual element to be on the back left, as my exhaust fan is on the far left, (Which is wonderful to have for a vent when
cooking with extra oil.) The knobs are chrome coated plastic, they look great, not sure how they are going to last, time will tell. Overall I love the look and enjoy cooking on it.

I installed this about two weeks ago and it works as advertised. We wanted a cooktop with knobs because we were worried that our cats might accidentally turn on a cooktop with surface controls, and the four burner design provided the space we needed to use our pots and pans whereas the five burner design would not. Only drawback to date is that I'm concerned about the surface surrounding the burners and whether the dimpled surface is etched into the glass or whether it is some sort of applique that will scratch and be ruined by moving pots and pans; consequently I'm being very careful with the cookware. The knobs should be marked with white color on the "pointy" end - it's difficult to see which direction the knob is facing since everything is black - poor design there - all it needs is a little touch of white in the existing groove.

I redid my kitchen after over 30 years of looking at the same appliances (except microwaves). I chose this stove and I'm still learning it. So far I like all of the features except that the surface stays hot for a long time after it has been turned off. I am accustomed to cleaning my stove when I finish cooking. So far that is the only thing that's not A+ with me.

I bought this to replace an old non-glass cooktop which looked like t went through a war! This Whirlpool cooktop fit perfectly in the counter opening and was easy to install. With the cooktop itself measuring a bit larger than the 30", I was comfortable that it would not be too small for the opening. The glass top looks great and is easy to clean.

We have enjoyed our new cooktop. It is so sleek and shiny! It is pretty to look at. I like how the areas around the burners have a slight textured appearance. It gives it a nicer look and I hope it hides any future scratches since we had that problem with our old cooktop. So far so good! The duel element works great. I like the versatility. The 30 inch size is also perfect. It is difficult to take a good photo of it because of the shininess reflecting my backsplash but I included a photo.
