Bought the TV 16 months ago. It started to randomly shut off. Called first time and was show how to shut it down with the manual shut off on the TV. Didnt help. I lived with it for 16 months having to unplug it let it sit a while and then plug back in. Did this for months. Called as it began doing it 3-4 times a day. Costco did some troubleshooting when it continued finally authorized me to return it under the Costco additional year of warranty

TV Picture great--need to develop a better remote

The TV picture is great but the jiggly remote control arrow is ridiculous for older folks. Also the remote control has issues some features work ok and others u must use your direct tv remote. Accessing LG Channels is a chore at times and at times some channels on LG dont work right and u have to turn the TV power off and kind of have a reset.

Good picture and sound but bad remote functions

I bought this TV in Nov. 2022. The picture and sound are very good. However the remote control and ability to go to desired networks or channels is the worst experience I have ever had. The customer service chat of LG also was horrible. It was finally determined that the original remote was corrupted and I was sent a new one under warranty. Although it fixed some problems it also sometimes wants to take control of the TV and leaves us totally frustrated.

New 50 with Pointer Feature

The upgrade to the 50 was not a drastic move for me but I have to say that the pointer feature was a bit of a pleasant surprise. It truly helps to cut down on the typing when to voice option cannot be used. The clarity of the added video inches is also amazing.

We previously owned a Westinghouse TV but wanted to upgrade to a new Smart TV. We decided on a LG model based on the store display. Once installed we were disappointed with the color of the picture even after make adjustments to it. Also if you are not sitting directly in front of the screen the picture is very washed out and hard to watch. The biggest disappointment is the remote for the TV. Who in heavens name designed that? First of all it is too small for a mans hand and the buttons are a challenge to use being so small and printed in dark grey on a black background. We had to use a flashlight to see the buttons. Also there was no instruction manual just a lame chart indicating what the buttons did. Remember this is our first Smart TV and we dont have a clue as to what the functions are. Very frustrating. We ended up ordering a Universal remote from Amazon which was an improvement.

Nice pic qual but the interface is horrendous

The picture is great for the price as long as you use the native webos apps/interface. However there is a degradation of picture quality using external devices such as the fire stick 4k max or Chromecast with google TV 4k. The problem is that the webos interface is EXTREMELY slow and buggy and the apps themselves are inferior to those of other systems the remote is absolutely horrendous. I will probably return this - this is by far the most frustrating interface Ive ever had to deal with.

I bought this for a guest room in Oct. 2022. It worked beautifully when I set it up. As no one was using the room I turned off the power to the set and had no occasion to use again until May of 2023. When I tried to turn it on it completely refused to work. In attempting to get it serviced under warranty I found that it is contracted put to an independent service company. So far they have failed to return to replace the defective parts. It has been 3 weeks since contacting LG and then their choice of repair service. I am not pleased and doubt I would buy another LG product.

Disappointed overall

1.Expected this smart tv to work as smoothly as my previous Toshiba Fire TV- it doesnt. I stream YouTube TV other apps which I expect the LG set- which is a tool- to support and play all. If I put a CD or other downloaded/copied media in my car radio or playback equipment it plays. I expect a tv to do the same with my apps. 2.The remote is cumbersome to use. It has more unneeded/unused buttons which make finding the one wanted difficult. 3.The Alexa button sometimes requires 2 presses and often doesnt respond at all. 4.The floating arrow is annoying difficult to control- even set at its slowest set speed. 5.Jeopardy stopped recording its last 2 episodes while other preset/auto records worked. I could not find a way to access and clear the cache. Therefore I deleted reloaded the YouTube TV app Im waiting to see if corrects this tonight. 6.The display of LG channels annoying thereby making selecting preferred apps more difficult.

Its a TV I can watch most things using my YouTube TV app but Im disappointed with the remote as its not the easiest to use- too many buttons and a too fast pointer even when set as slowest rate. In time navigating the on screen options will get easier- hopefully.

My only recommendation would be to provide a center console stand instead of the two leg stands it comes with. I might have purchased a larger TV if this was an option as my TV stand has width restrictions.

Now that i am accustomed to the remotes many options for channel changing its vecome quite intuitive. The picture quality is clear and sharp. When you watch at any angle the picture does not warp. Sound quality is great but I bet adding a sound bar would be intense Overall its the best tv in my home now.
