BUYER BEWARE Purchased the LDF5455BB 3 years ago. Its motor caused an electrical fire. LG replaced the motor under warranty then the immediately control panel fried and LG wont return phone calls. Machine doesnt run and has to be disconnected or it turns itself on and off chimes and runs on its own

Almost terrible

We purchased our dishwasher as a part of a kitchen bundle from Home Depot on July 2020.. due to the covid pandemic shortage we didnt actually receive it until October or November 2020 this dishwasher is almost terrible. We replaced an old Magic Chef dishwasher with this one and its terrible how new machines dont work the way old ones do. This one doesnt clean most dishes and we have already replaced the digital panel/motherboard the rinse aid compartment always gets clogged and the drain pump is being replaced this week. For such a reputable brand this dishwasher does not work as it should.

I bought in 2020 and been having so many issues. It will flicker like crazy mid cycle and sometimes it wont work. I can go a few days with not be able to get it to turn on. LG is not in my local area so will it fix.I doubt I will ever buy anything LG and literally want to get rid of all my LG products.

Does a pretty good job

We have had this dishwasher for three years and Im glad we got the three year extended warranty. One month before the warranty ran out the control panel went bad. It was fully covered and fixed in a couple days but I feel it shouldnt have failed that quick. That said the dishwasher works well

Nice dishwasher but does not last

This was my 2nd LG dishwasher in 2 years. This washer lasted two years and the motor burned up. The 10 year direct drive motor warranty only covers the part. It was going to cost me MORE than what the dishwasher was worth to cover the repair that LG would not go good on. I have been a faithful LG customer for over 20 years they have now lost my business. I would stay away from all LG dishwashers they just do not LAST and the warranty is not good

LG Customer service is TERRIBLE

I bought this dishwasher two years ago and the main control panel died. The main control panel has a 5 year warranty. LG customer service has given me the run around for the past month and now tells me the control panel part has been discontinued even though Lowes is selling the same model. Very frustrating. I would stay away from this model.

Worst dishwasher ever Never worked but 2 months. Bought extra warranty. The keyboard kept thinking the door wasnt closed so it wouldnt turn on. They fixed it and then it did it again a few months later. Even though its still under warranty they will DO NOTHING about it. I will never buy another LG product again.

Quiet and Spacious

Pros - LOVE the stainless steel inside and spacious racks that can be modified . Very quiet system . Cons- when rolling out the bottom rack it can come completely off the track if not careful . Cumbersome when its heavily loaded . Also dishes are not always dry however this may be operator error . Need to read up more on drying time Its high tech - lots of buttons /options .

WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER

I WAS HAPPY AT FIRST BUT I HAVE ONLY HAD MY LG FOR EXACTLY TWO YEARS AND IT BROKE I EVEN HAD A PLUMBER LOOK AT IT AND THEY COULDNT FIX IT I CALL LG BUT IT WAS GOING TO BE EXPENSIVE SO NEEDLESS TO SAY I DIDNT HAVE THEM COME SO IM WASHING BY HAND NOW I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG

Disappointing

We brought this dishwasher a little over a year ago Worked well for about 6 months then stopped working in mid cycle go everything has been tested tested electrically on the outside but LG says my receipt is not good enough and wont do anything very disappointing customer service is lousy

Decent Dishwasher

Had it less than 1 year and both motors broke. Luckily had LG replace. Drying takes forever and not completely dried afterwards. Otherwise okay dishwasher.

Good to Okay

I have had this dishwasher for a year or so and I will say the appliance is has a really good design. The touchscreen control panel is very nice and the sounds are pleasant. Overall the dishwasher performs well. I did ironically start have issues with the control panel and the control board which keep me from using. From my understanding there are cracks in the control board that is happening with a lot of the dishwashers like this model.

LG Dishwasher

This stainless steel unit is a great machine. Theres plenty of room for pots pans and the biggest platters. The filter is easy to clean and maintain and the dishwasher is so quiet once in a while I have to check to see that its still running. The versatility of the top rack is an extra bonus. We are so glad we went with LG. .

After having a basic low end dishwasher that was as loud as as a freight train while running we upgraded our old appliances for LG. The dishwasher is quiet we no longer have to leave the house when its running. It has great features and the dishes are dry when they come out. Only have it a short time but very pleased.

I bought this appliance about a year ago and it has performed fantastically. Recently an error code of AE appeared and the manual did not say how to fix We have had to contact a repairman at our expense to get the appliance fixed and the code reset.

Our old dishwasher did a fine job cleaning our dishes but the new LG often leaves glassware cloudy with residue that wont come off even with the proper use of a rinse agent. We dont like the very slow wash cycle that ties up our time too much. 10 months after purchase it would not come on at all and faulty installation was at fault. We would have kept the old one had we known the trouble that was coming We are disappointed to say the least
